My Yoga Basics & Yoga Flow have a moderate to active pace with some challenges and a deluxe relaxation. After creating and running Vista, California’s first yoga studio from 2001-2006, I sold the studio to spend more time with my family. I am honored to serve my students, fellow teachers and community as the Owner & Director of Yoga Branch Studio located at 1241 East Vista Way in Vista, CA. I also teach an Annual Yoga Alliance Registered School “Roots and Wings Yoga” Teacher Training, which usually kicks off in September.
Here are some of the teachers who have inspired me and helped me to become who I today…
Ashtanga Yoga Master in Encinitas, California. He was the first American certified to teach Ashtanga yoga by his beloved Guruji, Sri Pattabi Jois. I am grateful & honored to have completed his Ashtanga Teacher Training in 2001 and I will always be his student.
Certified by Indra Devi, Geo is an author, Vietnam war veteran & legendary Orange County power yoga teacher. He and his multi-talented wife Katresha now run a retreat, healing and yoga center. They have positively influenced my life and teaching in countless ways. Geo’s Power yoga has brought strength to my body and practice since meeting him in 2000.
Betsey Downing, Ph.D.
Certified Anusara Teacher in Sarasota Florida. I did my Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with her in Utah in 2002 and consider her my mentor. She has inspired me to go beyond my self-imposed imaginary boundaries. Every class I have taken with her has made me cry, laugh and grow. I continue to be her devoted student.
Erich Schiffmann, Rod Stryker, Roger Cole & many local teachers, colleagues, friends & students in my Southern California and Canadian Yoga communities.
Thank you to my professors in the Political Science and Education Departments of the University of Windsor. Gratitude to my international hosts while I lived and traveled in Indonesia, Japan & Europe.
Music, cooking, reading & hiking inspire me.

Merci Pepe for poetry, the mandolin, euchre & Leonard Cohen signing in French. My Grandmother Claire for her ultimate strength & will to survive despite all.
My sanctuary is the lake, woods, family and community in Muskoka, Ontario. Thank you to my mother Barbara Daignault who taught special education for 45 years and remained fascinated by each student. My father Moe who listened. My sisters; Nicole Daignault, an inspiring Yoga teacher since her studies in India in 1998-99 and Michele Daignault, Founder of Bandha Yoga Apparel www.bandha.com

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation
Of honest critics
And endure the betrayal
Of false friends;
To appreciate beauty,
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch,
Or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life had breathed easier Because you have lived.
That is to have succeeded.
